PVD World Music in the Park: Colombianriddim

PVD World Music Series returns to Providence Innovation District Park on May 4th and will run until October 2023. The events feature traditional and fusion global sounds and dance performed by performers from all over the world who call Providence and New England home. The concerts, as in previous years, feature indigenous music histories and customs that have been passed down orally from generation to generation for thousands of years with special focus on traditional African and African Diaspora music and dance performances.  The concerts provide an opportunity to learn more about the colorful arts of Africa and its diaspora.

Beginning on May 4th, 2023, the concerts will take place monthly on select Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. 

There will be rotating food trucks each event including the likes of: Jah Patty, Spanglish, Mings and Farm to Table. Cold beer and non-alcoholic drinks will be available at the Guild Beer Garden. In addition to the food and music, during May and June, the concerts will take place next to an artisan market curated by Field of Artisans.
